There are mainly two operating mode in 5G. One is 5G SA mode and another one is 5G SA mode.

In India, Jio works in 5G SA mode, means standalone mode. Jio has got 5G license from n28, n78, n258 bands.

N28 band is low band, also known as 700MHz band, N78 band is mid band, also known as 3.5 GHz band.

N258 band is high band, also known as mmwave or sub 26GHz band.

Right now most of the 5G supported mobile has support of N78 and N28 but not N258.

One should check out the list of 5G band support before buying 5G mobile.
