4g vs 5g network architecture

Here we will discuss about basic comparison between 4g vs 5g network architecture. 5G is basically an advanced version of 4G mobile technology. In 5G we will have a higher Internet speed, also known as an eMBB service. In addition, 5G will allow bringing new service areas such as URLLC (ultra-reliable low-latency communication) which is a critical application where the end-to-end latency requirement will be 1 ms and the reliability requirement will be 999999.99%. Another type of communication is mMTC (massive machine-type communication) which are nothing more than IOT (Internet of Things) applications in which the data rates to individual sensors can be very low (something in kbps), but thousands will be connected of millions of devices.
Therefore, we have learned more bandwidth requirements, low end-to-end and high capacity requirements, flexible network requirements, and network outage are the key to bringing 5g network. The 5g network architecture will only be able to meet these critical requirements.
The 4g network has a centralized core where the core function resides at the core location. The centralized approach will not serve end-to-end as a low latency requirement. The 4g network has limited bandwidth that is already exhausted. Now billions of devices will be online. Therefore, we need more bandwidth and connection requirements.

4g vs 5g Frequency bands

Earlier GSM cellular networks worked at 850 MHz and 1900 MHz, 2G and 3G networks change the modulation methodology but they are mostly used same range of frequency band. 3G introduces 2100MHz. There are many new frequency band used in 4G like 600MHz, 700MHz, 1.7, 2.1, 2.3, 2.5 GHz etc. These all are license based frequency.

We have seen many frequency bands those are allocated or might be allocated for 5G. 5G will use frequency band like 450MHz to 6 GHz range of frequency and 24.250 GHz to 52.600 GHz for millimeterwave.  There is some unlicensed frequency range like 5925 to 7150 MHz range and 64 GHz to 86 GHz shall be used for 5G. Authority is likely to allocate some additional unlicensed frequency band for 5G success.
